Bill Ayers at the UW
It was announced yesterday that the University of Wyoming, a publically funded institution, must provide a venue for Bill Ayers to speak. While I do not agree with Ayer’s past, and do not believe justice was served for his crimes, I believe that he is entitled to speak, and be provided the same freedoms as anyone else, like any free citizen of this great nation. Blocking his access to speak merely because he is controversial creates a precedent whose slope I don’t wish to tread upon.
